DoverPhila Federal Credit Union is proud to commit $250,000 over the next five years — $50,000 per year beginning in 2025 — to Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County to help turn the vision of Jack’s House of Hope into reality.
This contribution honors former CEO Dave Andreatta for his lasting impact on DoverPhila and his legacy of servant leadership and community investment that has shaped the Credit Union’s values and commitment to Tuscarawas County.
“We are proud to commit $250,000 over the next five years to help bring this incredible vision to life,” said Jason Garner, CEO of DoverPhila Federal Credit Union. “Projects like this are what make our community stronger, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of something that will provide comfort, care, and hope for so many.”
Jack’s House of Hope is a transformative project being developed behind Friends of the Homeless’ current shelter on East High Avenue in New Philadelphia. The new 20,000-square-foot facility will offer approximately twenty-seven private rooms for individuals, plus four rooms dedicated to families. Along with living quarters, it will include a chapel, enclosed courtyard, playground, community room, meeting space, and offices.
“The Friends of the Homeless greatly appreciates the tremendous support of the credit union,” said Executive Director Calvin White. Jack’s House of Hope campaign goal is $5.5 million. To date, the campaign has generated more than $4.5 million in donations and pledges. The Friends of the Homeless is hoping to move into the new facility before the end of the year. “The support of DoverPhila Federal Credit Union gives us great confidence that we will reach our goals. We are blessed by the community support of our neighbors who most need our help,” said White.
